Karachi: Arctic Textile Mills Limited has reported a decline in profitability for the nine months ended March 31, 2026, as lower sales weighed on the company’s financial performance despite maintaining positive earnings. The company disclosed its unaudited financial results following a meeting of its Board of Directors held on April 29, 2026.
During the nine-month period, Arctic Textile Mills recorded revenue from contracts with customers of Rs1.39 billion, down from Rs1.99 billion reported in the corresponding period last year. The decline in sales resulted in gross profit easing to Rs112.45 million, compared with Rs120.05 million a year earlier.
The company posted a profit after tax of Rs54.48 million, compared with Rs77.73 million in the same period of the previous year, reflecting a year-on-year decline of nearly 30%. Consequently, earnings per share (EPS) fell to Rs4.14, from Rs5.90 recorded during the corresponding period last year.
For the third quarter ended March 31, 2026, Arctic Textile Mills reported quarterly revenue of Rs480.70 million, while profit after tax increased to Rs20.46 million from Rs18.36 million in the same quarter last year. Quarterly EPS improved to Rs1.55, compared with Rs1.39 previously, indicating a stronger performance during the latest quarter despite the softer nine-month results.
On the balance sheet, the company’s total equity increased to Rs485.68 million as of March 31, 2026, from Rs428.24 million at the end of June 2025, supported by retained earnings. Total assets stood at Rs835.55 million, while cash and bank balances declined to Rs21.50 million from Rs83.29 million at the beginning of the fiscal year.
The Board of Directors did not recommend any cash dividend, bonus shares, right shares, or any other corporate action along with the financial results.
Despite the decline in nine-month earnings, the improvement in quarterly profitability suggests that Arctic Textile Mills experienced a stronger operational performance during the final quarter under review, offering cautious optimism as the company moves toward the close of the fiscal year.
