Islamabad, July 17, 2026: Shifa International Hospitals Limited (SIHL) has announced that the Islamabad High Court has sanctioned the Scheme of Arrangement for the merger of Shifa Medical Center Islamabad (Private) Limited (SMCI) into Shifa International Hospitals Limited.
In a material information disclosure submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company stated that the approval was granted by the Honourable Islamabad High Court in Companies Original No. 02 of 2026. The court’s decision formally clears the way for the integration of Shifa Medical Center Islamabad into SIHL.
The merger is expected to streamline the group’s corporate structure by consolidating the operations of Shifa Medical Center under the umbrella of Shifa International Hospitals Limited. Such corporate restructuring initiatives are generally aimed at improving operational efficiency, strengthening governance, and enhancing the delivery of healthcare services.
Following the court’s approval, Shifa International Hospitals has informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange and requested that PSX members and TRE certificate holders be notified in accordance with regulatory requirements.
The announcement was issued by Company Secretary Muhammad Naeem as part of the company’s ongoing compliance with the disclosure requirements of the Securities Act, 2015, and the PSX Rule Book.
The completion of the merger marks a significant milestone for SIHL and reflects the company’s continued efforts to strengthen its organizational framework while supporting its long-term growth strategy in Pakistan’s healthcare sector.
