Air Link Communication Limited has announced a major strategic expansion into Pakistan’s growing electric vehicle (EV) market after its Board of Directors approved the establishment of an electric bike manufacturing project under the company’s own brand, “AirV.” The decision was taken during the Board meeting held on July 23, 2026, according to the company’s disclosure submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

As part of the initiative, Air Link plans to establish an advanced electric bike assembly plant at its manufacturing facility located in the Sundar Green Special Economic Zone (SGSEZ), Lahore. The company said the investment aligns with its long-term strategy to diversify its manufacturing portfolio and expand into technology-driven mobility solutions.

The move comes at a time when demand for electric vehicles is steadily increasing in Pakistan, supported by growing environmental awareness, rising fuel costs, and government initiatives promoting cleaner transportation. By launching the AirV brand, Air Link aims to position itself in the emerging EV segment while leveraging its existing manufacturing capabilities.

The Board has also authorized the company’s management to carry out all necessary regulatory approvals, commercial arrangements, and operational activities required to implement the project. This authorization will allow the company to move forward with planning, construction, and execution of the manufacturing facility.

Air Link, widely recognized for its presence in Pakistan’s mobile phone distribution and manufacturing industry, has been expanding its operations beyond its traditional business segments. The new electric bike project reflects the company’s broader vision of capitalizing on future-oriented industries and creating new avenues for sustainable growth.

The proposed manufacturing facility is expected to strengthen Pakistan’s local EV ecosystem by supporting domestic production and reducing reliance on imported electric motorcycles. Further details regarding investment size, production capacity, timelines, and commercial launch are expected to be announced as the project progresses.
