Tariq Glass Industries Limited (PSX: TGL) has announced its financial results for the third quarter and nine-month period ended March 31, 2026, reporting a net profit of Rs2.95 billion while opting not to declare any cash dividend, bonus shares, or rights issue. The results were approved by the company’s Board of Directors during its meeting held on April 28, 2026.
During the nine-month period, the company posted net sales of Rs22.77 billion, compared to Rs24.83 billion in the corresponding period last year, reflecting a decline in revenue amid challenging market conditions. Gross profit stood at Rs6.17 billion, down from Rs7.69 billion a year earlier.
Operating profit also softened to Rs5.27 billion, compared with Rs6.88 billion in the same period of the previous year. After accounting for finance costs, taxation, and other expenses, Tariq Glass reported a net profit of Rs2.95 billion, down from Rs3.51 billion recorded during the corresponding nine months of 2025. Earnings per share (EPS) for the period came in at Rs17.12, compared with Rs20.39 last year.
For the third quarter alone, the company earned Rs1.10 billion, translating into quarterly earnings per share of Rs6.42, compared with Rs1.24 billion and Rs7.22 per share in the same quarter of the previous year.
Despite the decline in profitability, Tariq Glass maintained a solid financial position. Total assets increased to Rs29.20 billion as of March 31, 2026, compared with Rs27.82 billion at the end of June 2025. Shareholders’ equity also strengthened to Rs24.51 billion, supported by retained earnings generated during the period.
The company’s cash and bank balances rose significantly to Rs2.62 billion, up from Rs948 million at the beginning of the fiscal year, reflecting healthy cash generation from operating activities. Operating cash flow remained positive at Rs3.89 billion despite capital expenditures and financing-related outflows.
The Board did not recommend any cash dividend, bonus shares, rights issue, or any other corporate action, indicating its preference to retain earnings while continuing to strengthen the company’s financial position and support future growth initiatives.
