Shadab Textile Mills Limited has announced a strong improvement in its financial performance for the nine-month period ended March 31, 2026, with profit after taxation increasing significantly compared to the corresponding period last year. The company’s Board of Directors approved the unaudited financial results in its meeting held on April 27, 2026.

According to the financial statements, Shadab Textile Mills posted a profit after taxation of Rs224.004 million, compared with Rs145.084 million in the same period of the previous year, representing a growth of approximately 54.4%. Earnings per share (EPS) also improved to Rs13.49, up from Rs8.74 a year earlier, reflecting the company’s stronger profitability.

The company’s operating performance also strengthened during the period. Operating profit increased to Rs483.981 million from Rs293.475 million, while profit before taxation rose to Rs411.362 million, compared with Rs205.194 million in the corresponding period last year. The improvement was supported by higher gross profit despite finance costs and taxation expenses.

For the quarter ended March 31, 2026, the company reported profit after taxation of Rs36.704 million, compared with Rs50.540 million in the same quarter of the previous year. Quarterly EPS stood at Rs2.21, versus Rs3.04 in the corresponding quarter of 2025.

The balance sheet remained stable, with total assets increasing to Rs3.321 billion as of March 31, 2026, compared with Rs3.215 billion at the end of June 2025. Shareholders’ equity also improved to Rs1.788 billion, reflecting the company’s enhanced earnings during the period.

The company generated net cash from operating activities of Rs365.015 million, highlighting healthy operational cash flows despite investments in property, plant, and equipment and repayments of borrowings and lease liabilities. Cash and cash equivalents increased to Rs104.231 million at the end of the period from Rs29.618 million at the beginning of the financial year.

The Board did not recommend any cash dividend, bonus shares, right shares, or any other corporate action along with the announcement of the quarterly financial results.
