Pakistan Cables Limited has entered into a Build, Own and Operate (BOO) agreement with Burj Clean Energy Modaraba for the development of a 7.5 MW wind power project at the company’s manufacturing facility in Nooriabad, Sindh.

According to a material information disclosure submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on August 19, 2026, the agreement forms part of Pakistan Cables’ efforts to increase its use of clean and renewable energy.

The proposed wind power project is expected to support the company’s manufacturing operations by increasing the share of renewable energy in its overall power mix. The initiative is also aimed at reducing Pakistan Cables’ dependence on fossil-fuel-based energy while helping lower its energy costs.

For an industrial manufacturer, energy costs can have a significant impact on operating expenses. By pursuing renewable power generation at its Nooriabad facility, Pakistan Cables is taking steps toward improving energy efficiency while also aligning its operations with the broader transition toward cleaner sources of electricity.

The BOO arrangement with Burj Clean Energy Modaraba provides a framework for the development and operation of the 7.5 MW wind project. The project will be installed at Pakistan Cables’ manufacturing facility in Nooriabad, Sindh, according to the company’s disclosure.

The move also reinforces the company’s stated commitment to renewable energy. Pakistan Cables said the project is intended not only to increase its use of clean energy but also to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and bring down energy costs.

The announcement reflects the growing importance of renewable energy solutions for Pakistan’s industrial sector, where companies are increasingly looking for ways to manage energy costs and reduce exposure to conventional fuel-based power.

For Pakistan Cables, the planned wind project represents a strategic step toward more sustainable manufacturing operations. Once developed, the 7.5 MW facility could become an important component of the company’s efforts to integrate renewable energy into its industrial activities.
