LSE SPAC-I Limited has announced a significant step forward in its growth strategy with the acquisition of a 19.04% equity stake in Ningbo Green Light Energy Limited (NGLE), a leading solar energy solutions provider operating in Pakistan.
According to the company’s disclosure submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), LSE SPAC-I made a payment of PKR 230 million on May 11, 2026, as part of the acquisition process. The transaction follows the investment strategy outlined in the company’s prospectus after the successful completion of its Initial Public Offering (IPO).
NGLE is recognized as a prominent provider of solar energy solutions and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services in Pakistan. The company is partly owned by Ningbo Green Light Energy Group Company Limited and has established a strong presence in the country’s rapidly growing renewable energy market.
The investment reflects LSE SPAC-I’s commitment to identifying high-potential businesses operating in strategic sectors. With increasing demand for clean energy solutions across Pakistan, the acquisition provides LSE SPAC-I with exposure to a sector that is expected to play a critical role in the country’s sustainable economic development.
Management stated that the transaction aligns with the company’s long-term objective of creating value for shareholders through investments in promising growth-oriented enterprises. The partnership is also expected to support NGLE’s continued expansion and strengthen its position within Pakistan’s solar energy industry.
As Pakistan accelerates its transition toward renewable energy sources, investments such as this highlight the growing confidence of institutional investors in the country’s clean energy future.
