Intermarket Securities Delivers Strong FY2026 Results with Profit Rising to Rs544.45 Million

Karachi, September 16, 2026: Intermarket Securities Limited has announced its audited financial results for the year ended June 30, 2026, reporting a significant increase in profitability and operating revenue.

According to the financial statements approved by the company’s Board of Directors at a meeting held on September 15, 2026, Intermarket Securities recorded profit after taxation of Rs544.45 million during FY2026, compared with Rs157.03 million reported for the six-month period ended June 30, 2025, on a restated basis. The company’s basic and diluted earnings per share also increased to Rs0.42 from Rs0.12.

Revenue and operating performance improve

The company reported operating revenue of Rs1.873 billion for the year ended June 30, 2026, while income from investments stood at approximately Rs130.82 million. Together, these contributed to total income of around Rs2.004 billion.

After accounting for administrative expenses of Rs1.057 billion, other expenses of Rs13.25 million and other income of Rs73.25 million, the company posted an operating profit of Rs1.007 billion. Profit before taxation reached Rs904.64 million, while taxation amounted to approximately Rs360.19 million.

Assets expand substantially

Intermarket Securities’ total assets increased to approximately Rs4.772 billion as of June 30, 2026, compared with Rs3.297 billion at June 30, 2025 and Rs3.941 billion at December 31, 2024.

Current assets stood at approximately Rs4.349 billion, including short-term investments of Rs346.59 million, trade debts of Rs455.10 million, receivables against margin financing of Rs1.299 billion, loans and other receivables of Rs1.559 billion, and cash and bank balances of Rs690.34 million.

The company’s total equity also increased to approximately Rs2.067 billion, compared with Rs1.502 billion at June 30, 2025. Unappropriated profits rose to around Rs1.402 billion from Rs837.29 million on a restated basis.

Cash flow position strengthens

The cash flow statement shows that Intermarket Securities generated Rs690.29 million in cash from operations during FY2026, compared with Rs42.85 million during the six-month period ended June 30, 2025.

After investing and financing activities, the company recorded a net increase of Rs418.59 million in cash and cash equivalents, bringing cash and cash equivalents at year-end to approximately Rs54.65 million.

No dividend or bonus shares announced

Despite the improvement in profitability, the company has recommended no cash dividend, bonus shares or right shares for the year ended June 30, 2026. The notice also states that there is no other entitlement, corporate action or price-sensitive information being announced with the results.

Annual General Meeting scheduled for October 22

Intermarket Securities has scheduled its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in Karachi.

The company’s share transfer books will remain closed from October 15 to October 22, 2026, both days inclusive. Shareholders whose transfers are received by the company’s share registrar by the close of business on October 14 will be considered eligible to attend and vote at the meeting.

The company enters its upcoming AGM with profit after taxation of Rs544.45 million and EPS of Rs0.42, while retaining its stated position of no dividend or bonus-share distribution for the period.
