EMCO Industries’ Profit Rises 25% to Rs69.4 Million in FY2026

EMCO Industries Limited delivered a stronger financial performance during the year ended June 30, 2026, with its net profit increasing to Rs69.44 million, compared with Rs55.74 million in the previous year. The improvement reflects stronger operating performance and a significant recovery in profitability before taxation. 283768

According to the company’s financial statements, operating profit climbed to Rs504.44 million in FY2026, up from Rs351.48 million a year earlier. This represents a substantial improvement in the company’s core operating performance. However, higher other operating expenses and finance costs moderated the benefit at the bottom line.

Profit before minimum tax differential and taxation stood at Rs112.69 million, compared with Rs42.09 million in FY2025. After accounting for the minimum tax differential and taxation, the company reported profit before taxation of Rs107.19 million, reversing the previous year’s loss before taxation of Rs1.29 million. 283768

The company’s earnings per share also improved, rising to Rs1.98 from Rs1.59 in the preceding year. The increase in EPS highlights the improvement in profitability available to shareholders.

Stronger Balance Sheet

EMCO Industries also ended the financial year with a larger asset base. Total assets increased to approximately Rs6.28 billion, compared with Rs6.09 billion at June 30, 2025. Equity rose to around Rs3.43 billion, from Rs3.31 billion a year earlier. 283768

The company’s current assets stood at approximately Rs2.84 billion, while non-current assets were about Rs3.44 billion. Trade receivables increased during the year, while inventories remained a significant component of current assets.

Cash Flow Remains an Area to Watch

Despite the improvement in earnings, the company experienced pressure on its cash position. EMCO generated Rs135.48 million in net cash from operating activities, compared with Rs113.69 million in the previous year.

At the same time, investing activities consumed approximately Rs155.56 million, largely reflecting expenditure on property, plant and equipment and other investments. Financing activities also resulted in a net cash outflow of approximately Rs13.72 million.

As a result, cash and cash equivalents declined from Rs43.99 million at the beginning of FY2026 to Rs10.18 million at year-end. 283768

AGM Scheduled for October 26

The company has also announced that its Annual General Meeting will be held on October 26, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at ICC House, Golf Road, Lahore. The share transfer books will remain closed from October 19 to October 26, 2026, according to the notice. 283768

Overall, EMCO Industries’ FY2026 results show a notable improvement in profitability, with higher operating profit, stronger earnings per share and a return to profit before taxation. The decline in year-end cash balances, however, remains an important factor for investors to monitor as the company moves into the new financial year.
