First Habib Modaraba has reported a year-on-year increase of approximately 12% in its net profit for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, reflecting improved income from its diminishing Musharaka financing operations.

According to the financial results submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the Modaraba posted a profit after taxation of Rs207.22 million for the quarter, compared with Rs184.99 million recorded in the corresponding period last year.

Profit before taxation increased to Rs341.96 million from Rs302.46 million in the same quarter of 2025, representing growth of approximately 13%. Similarly, earnings per certificate improved to Rs1.87 against Rs1.67 previously.

The company’s income from diminishing Musharaka financing reached Rs1.39 billion during the quarter, compared with Rs1.12 billion in the corresponding period last year, indicating stronger financing income.

Other income stood at Rs46.59 million, slightly higher than Rs46.58 million recorded in the same period last year. However, financial charges increased to approximately Rs1.00 billion from Rs762.50 million, reflecting higher financing-related expenses.

Administrative expenses also increased to Rs81.87 million from Rs75.10 million. Despite the rise in expenses, improved financing income supported the company’s overall profitability.

First Habib Modaraba’s total comprehensive income reached Rs211.30 million during the quarter, compared with Rs198.98 million in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The company’s total assets stood at Rs43.42 billion as of September 30, 2026, compared with Rs41.73 billion at June 30, 2026, indicating an expansion in its asset base.

Meanwhile, the board of directors approved the quarterly financial statements at its meeting held on October 28, 2026. The company announced no cash dividend, bonus shares, or right shares for the period.

The latest results indicate continued growth in First Habib Modaraba’s financing income and profitability, although the increase in financial charges remains an important factor to monitor in the coming quarters.
