LAHORE, Nov 1, 2024: Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a notable decline on Friday, following a minor decrease in the previous session. The precious metal’s prices aligned with global market trends, which also recorded a significant drop.
In the local markets, the price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs2,500, bringing it down to Rs284,700, as reported by the local Sarafa Associations. Alongside this, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold saw a decrease of Rs2,144, settling at Rs244,084. This decline reflects both domestic trading activity and adjustments in the international gold rates.
On the global front, gold prices also dropped, with a $25 decrease, now standing at $2,752 per ounce. Market experts noted an additional premium of $20, adding further volatility to the international gold rates.
In line with these movements, silver prices in Pakistan took a downturn, shedding Rs20 to reach Rs3,430 per tola. The drop in silver mirrors the current price fluctuations in gold, signaling an overall shift in the precious metals market.
