As part of this initiative, IIL intends to explore mining opportunities primarily in <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Balochistan<\/span><\/span> and <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Khyber Pakhtunkhwa<\/span><\/span> through a consortium-led joint venture structure.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1005\" data-end=\"1357\">Under the proposed arrangement, the venture will be operated through a joint venture company, with each participating partner expected to contribute up to PKR 500 million in equity investment. The move reflects IIL\u2019s strategy to diversify its portfolio while tapping into Pakistan\u2019s resource development potential.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1359\" data-end=\"1734\">To proceed with the investment, the company\u2019s Board of Directors has called an Extraordinary General Meeting (EOGM) scheduled for June 18, 2026. Shareholders will be asked to approve the proposed investment under Section 199 of the Companies Act, 2017, as the joint venture entity falls under the classification of an associated company.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1736\" data-end=\"2121\">IIL stated that this diversification aligns with its broader expansion plans, which include evaluating new ventures, launching new products, and entering emerging markets.
