BF Biosciences Limited delivered a strong financial performance during the nine months ended March 31, 2026, reporting a substantial increase in both revenue and profitability, driven by robust sales growth and improved operating performance.

The pharmaceutical company posted net revenue of Rs. 7.24 billion, up from Rs. 4.21 billion in the corresponding period last year, reflecting a remarkable 72% year-on-year increase. Strong demand for the company’s products helped lift gross profit to Rs. 3.19 billion, compared to Rs. 1.74 billion a year earlier.

Despite higher selling, distribution, and administrative expenses associated with expanding operations, BF Biosciences recorded operating profit of Rs. 897.64 million, an increase from Rs. 646.10 million in the same period last year. Lower finance costs also supported earnings, declining to Rs. 77.49 million from Rs. 122.64 million.

As a result, profit after taxation rose 45% to Rs. 464.95 million, compared with Rs. 320.34 million in the nine months ended March 2025. Earnings per share (EPS) improved to Rs. 5.26, up from Rs. 4.08 in the previous year’s corresponding period.

For the third quarter alone, the company generated revenue of Rs. 2.14 billion, while posting profit after tax of Rs. 117.65 million. Quarterly EPS stood at Rs. 1.33.

On the balance sheet, BF Biosciences strengthened its financial position with total equity increasing to Rs. 5.13 billion from Rs. 4.66 billion at the end of June 2025, supported by higher retained earnings. Total assets also expanded to Rs. 9.18 billion, reflecting increased investment in property, plant and equipment, as well as higher inventories and trade receivables to support business growth.

The company’s cash flow statement showed that while operating cash flows remained under pressure due to higher working capital requirements, investing activities generated positive cash flow primarily from the reduction in short-term investments. Meanwhile, the company continued to reduce its long-term debt obligations, reflecting ongoing balance sheet management.

The latest financial results underscore BF Biosciences’ continued growth momentum, with strong revenue expansion and improved profitability highlighting resilient demand for its pharmaceutical products and the company’s ability to scale operations while delivering higher returns to shareholders.
