LSE Capital Moves Ahead with Third SPAC IPO, Seeks to Raise PKR 500 Million
LSE Capital Limited has announced another milestone in Pakistan’s evolving capital market by submitting the IPO application and draft prospectus for the listing of LSE SPAC-III on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). The development follows the successful launches of SPAC-I and SPAC-II, reinforcing the company’s commitment to expanding Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) offerings in the country.
According to the material information shared with the Pakistan Stock Exchange, LSE SPAC-III aims to raise a total of PKR 500 million. Of this amount, PKR 400 million will be contributed by pre-IPO investors, including seed funding from LSE Capital, while the remaining PKR 100 million will be raised from the general public through the IPO.
The company stated that the funds raised through the offering will be used to invest in and acquire one or more potential target companies in the future, in accordance with the provisions of the Public Offering Regulations, 2017. As with other SPAC structures, the company will not operate an existing business at the time of listing but will instead focus on identifying suitable acquisition opportunities after successfully raising capital.
The filing of LSE SPAC-III highlights the growing acceptance of SPACs as an alternative investment and fundraising vehicle in Pakistan’s capital markets. By providing investors with an opportunity to participate in future business acquisitions, SPACs offer a different avenue for capital formation while enabling promising companies to access public markets through mergers.
The proposed listing is subject to regulatory approvals and the completion of the IPO process. If approved, LSE SPAC-III will become the third SPAC sponsored by LSE Capital, further strengthening its position in developing innovative financial products within Pakistan’s equity market.
