Dadex Eternit Returns to Profitability with Rs479.7 Million Earnings in FY2026

Dadex Eternit Limited has reported a significant improvement in its financial performance for the year ended June 30, 2026, moving from a substantial loss in the previous year to a net profit of Rs479.68 million.

According to the company’s financial results announced on September 24, 2026, Dadex recorded net sales of Rs959.91 million during FY2026, compared with Rs780.94 million in FY2025. While the company continued to report a gross loss of Rs4.05 million, a substantial increase in other income helped drive operating profit to Rs592.68 million, compared with an operating loss of Rs259.68 million a year earlier.

Net Profit Replaces Previous Year’s Loss

Dadex reported profit before tax and levy of Rs516.72 million for FY2026, compared with a loss of Rs390.10 million in FY2025. After taxation and levy, the company posted a net profit of Rs479.68 million, reversing the Rs407.05 million loss recorded in the preceding year.

Earnings per share also improved sharply, rising to Rs44.56 per share from a loss of Rs37.82 per share in FY2025.

The company’s comprehensive income statement on page 4 of the financial statements also shows total comprehensive income of Rs479.68 million for FY2026, compared with a comprehensive loss of Rs77.09 million in FY2025.

No Cash Dividend or Bonus Shares

Despite the return to profitability, the company’s Board of Directors recommended no cash dividend, bonus shares or right shares for the year ended June 30, 2026.

Changes in Financial Position

Dadex’s total assets stood at approximately Rs2.97 billion as of June 30, 2026, compared with Rs2.87 billion a year earlier. The company’s equity increased to approximately Rs914.49 million, compared with Rs434.80 million at the end of FY2025, according to the statement of financial position.

The statement of changes in equity on page 5 shows that accumulated losses improved from Rs1.50 billion at June 30, 2025 to approximately Rs120.25 million at June 30, 2026, while total equity rose to about Rs914.49 million.

Cash Position Improves

The company also reported a major improvement in its cash position. Cash and cash equivalents increased from Rs(628.41) million at the beginning of FY2026 to Rs307.01 million at year-end, representing a net increase of approximately Rs935.42 million during the year.

Cash flows from investing activities generated a net inflow of approximately Rs1.69 billion, while operating activities recorded a net cash outflow of about Rs632.80 million.

AGM Scheduled for October 27

Dadex has scheduled its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for October 27, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. at the company’s registered office in Karachi. Shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members on October 19, 2026, will be entitled to attend the meeting.

The company’s share transfer books and Register of Members will remain closed from October 20 to October 27, 2026, both days inclusive.

Overall, the FY2026 results show a substantial year-on-year improvement in Dadex Eternit’s reported profitability, equity position and cash balance, with the company returning to profit after the loss recorded in FY2025.
