Big Bird Foods Delivers Growth in FY2026 as Sales Cross Rs14.7 Billion
Big Bird Foods Limited has reported stronger financial performance for the year ended June 30, 2026, with sales, operating profit and earnings showing year-on-year improvement. The company’s financial results were approved by its Board of Directors on September 24, 2026.
According to the company’s statement of profit or loss, net sales increased to Rs14.76 billion in FY2026, compared with Rs11.36 billion in the previous year. This represents an increase of nearly 30%. Gross profit also rose to Rs3.07 billion, from Rs2.38 billion a year earlier.
The improvement in gross profit was accompanied by higher operating earnings. Profit from operations reached Rs2.46 billion, compared with Rs1.91 billion in FY2025. After finance costs and taxation, the company posted profit after taxation of Rs1.17 billion, up from approximately Rs1.12 billion in the previous year.
Earnings Per Share Improves
Big Bird Foods’ earnings per share also increased during the year. EPS stood at Rs3.80 for FY2026, compared with Rs3.75 in FY2025, according to the financial statements.
The company’s financial position also expanded during the year. Total assets increased to approximately Rs16.85 billion as of June 30, 2026, compared with Rs12.50 billion on a restated basis a year earlier. Property, plant and equipment rose to more than Rs10.21 billion from Rs7.70 billion.
Comprehensive Income Receives a Boost
Big Bird Foods reported total comprehensive income of Rs2.83 billion for FY2026, compared with Rs1.12 billion in FY2025. The substantial increase was influenced by a surplus arising from the revaluation of property, plant and equipment. The company recorded a revaluation surplus of approximately Rs2.31 billion, alongside related tax adjustments.
The statement of changes in equity also shows that the company’s total equity increased to approximately Rs10.54 billion by June 30, 2026, from Rs7.57 billion on a restated basis at the end of FY2025.
Operating Cash Flow Remains Positive
Cash generated from operating activities stood at approximately Rs468.7 million during FY2026, compared with an operating cash outflow of around Rs220.7 million in FY2025. However, investing activities used approximately Rs430.9 million, largely reflecting expenditure on property, plant and equipment.
The company ended the financial year with cash and cash equivalents of Rs270.24 million, compared with Rs326.68 million at the end of FY2025.
No Cash Dividend Announced
Alongside the financial results, Big Bird Foods stated that the Board recommended no cash dividend, bonus shares or right shares for the year ended June 30, 2026.
The company has scheduled its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for October 24, 2026, at 11:00 AM in Lahore. Its share transfer books will remain closed from October 16 through October 24, 2026, both days inclusive.
Overall, Big Bird Foods’ FY2026 results show substantial growth in revenue and operating earnings, a modest increase in profit after tax and EPS, and a significant rise in comprehensive income largely associated with property revaluation.
