Allied Bank Limited (ABL) has announced its financial results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2026, reporting a consolidated profit after tax of Rs23.34 billion. The bank has also announced an interim cash dividend of Rs4 per share, reflecting its continued commitment to shareholder returns.

Growth in Banking Income

The bank’s total consolidated income also improved, reaching Rs104.70 billion against Rs101.85 billion in the corresponding period last year.
Non-mark-up and interest income increased to Rs24.68 billion from Rs23.17 billion, supported by contributions from fee and commission income, dividend income, foreign exchange income and other sources.
However, higher operating expenses and taxation affected the bank’s overall profitability during the reporting period.
Profitability Remains Under Pressure
Allied Bank posted consolidated profit before taxation of Rs47.68 billion for the nine months ended September 30, 2026, compared with Rs56.22 billion in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Consolidated profit after taxation stood at Rs23.34 billion, down from Rs26.81 billion a year earlier. Consequently, earnings per share declined to Rs20.38 from Rs23.41.
For the third quarter alone, the bank reported consolidated profit after taxation of Rs7.36 billion, compared with Rs8.82 billion in the same quarter of 2025.
These figures indicate that although the bank achieved growth in overall income and net interest income, increased expenses and taxation weighed on its bottom line.
Strong Deposit Base and Asset Position
The bank’s consolidated total assets increased to Rs3.54 trillion as of September 30, 2026, compared with Rs3.38 trillion at the end of December 2025.
Deposits and other accounts reached approximately Rs2.59 trillion, up from Rs2.34 trillion at the end of the previous year. This reflects an expansion in the bank’s deposit base during the reporting period.
Advances also increased to Rs807.15 billion from Rs789.95 billion, while investments stood at approximately Rs2.21 trillion.
These figures highlight the bank’s substantial presence in Pakistan’s banking sector and its continued role in mobilising deposits and managing investments.
Allied Bank Announces Rs4 Per Share Dividend
Alongside its financial results, Allied Bank’s Board of Directors recommended an interim cash dividend of Rs4 per share, equivalent to 40%, for the quarter ended September 30, 2026.
The latest dividend is in addition to interim dividends of Rs8 per share, or 80%, already paid during the year.
Shareholders whose names appear in the bank’s Register of Members on November 6, 2026, will be eligible for the announced entitlement.
The bank also announced that its share transfer books will remain closed from November 10 to November 12, 2026, both days inclusive.
Outlook
Allied Bank’s nine-month results reflect a mixed financial performance, with growth in total income, net interest income, deposits and assets, alongside a decline in profitability compared with the previous year.
The latest dividend announcement provides continued returns to shareholders, while the bank’s expanding asset and deposit base demonstrates its ongoing business activity.
Investors will likely monitor the bank’s upcoming financial performance, particularly its ability to manage operating costs, maintain income growth and improve profitability in the remaining months of 2026.

The company’s ability to sustain its improved earnings performance, strengthen cash generation and manage its financial obligations will be important factors in determining its future financial outlook.
