Telecard Limited has reported an improvement in its consolidated financial performance for the financial year ended June 30, 2026, with its after-tax profit increasing compared with the previous year, according to the company’s financial statements submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange.

The company’s consolidated profit after taxation rose to Rs373.907 million, compared with Rs276.711 million in FY2025, representing an increase of approximately 35%. Earnings per share (EPS) also improved to Rs0.49 from Rs0.28 in the preceding financial year.

Despite the improvement in profitability, Telecard’s consolidated revenue declined to Rs9.860 billion from Rs11.189 billion in FY2025. However, the company managed to improve its gross profit to Rs2.695 billion from Rs2.445 billion, reflecting better gross profitability despite lower revenue.

The company’s operating profit stood at Rs854.201 million, compared with Rs859.922 million in the previous year. Finance costs declined considerably to Rs99.768 million from Rs162.486 million, helping support the company’s overall profitability.

Another notable development was the increase in the company’s levy expense, which reached Rs259.871 million compared with Rs112.008 million in FY2025. Meanwhile, taxation amounted to Rs120.655 million during the year.

Standalone Results Show a Different Picture

While the consolidated financial results reflected improved profitability, Telecard’s unconsolidated financial statements presented a weaker performance. The company reported a standalone net loss of Rs83.602 million for FY2026, compared with a net profit of Rs65.646 million in the previous financial year.

Standalone earnings per share also turned negative at Rs0.25 per share, compared with positive earnings of Rs0.19 per share in FY2025.

This difference between consolidated and standalone results highlights the importance of assessing both sets of financial statements when evaluating the company’s overall performance.

No Dividend Announced

Telecard’s board of directors, in its meeting held on October 29, 2026, recommended no cash dividend, bonus shares or right shares for the financial year ended June 30, 2026.

The company has also announced that its Annual General Meeting will be held on November 27, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Islamabad Hotel, G-6, Islamabad.

The share transfer books will remain closed from November 21 to November 27, 2026, with November 20, 2026, set as the last date for completing transfers to qualify for the meeting.

Outlook

Telecard’s FY2026 results present a mixed financial picture. The increase in consolidated net profit and earnings per share, along with lower finance costs, represents a positive development. However, declining revenue, higher levy expenses and the standalone net loss remain important areas to watch.

Investors will likely monitor the company’s upcoming financial performance to determine whether the improvement in consolidated profitability can be sustained in the coming financial year.
