LSE Capital Limited has announced the acquisition of the entire 5.75% equity stake previously held by Aftab Ahmad in Digital Custodian Company Limited, according to a material information notice submitted to Pakistan Stock Exchange on May 18, 2026.
The disclosure, signed by Company Secretary Muhammad Sajjad Hyder, confirms that the transaction completes the transfer of Mr. Ahmad’s ownership interest in Digital Custodian Company Limited to LSE Capital. The company requested that the exchange notify TRE Certificate Holders accordingly.
The move may strengthen LSE Capital’s strategic position in the digital financial infrastructure space, particularly as companies across Pakistan continue investing in secure custody, digital asset management, and financial technology services. While the filing does not disclose the financial value of the transaction, it highlights the company’s ongoing expansion through targeted equity acquisitions.
This acquisition reflects the growing interest of listed financial institutions in expanding ownership across digital finance and custodial services, sectors that are becoming increasingly important as capital markets modernize and regulatory frameworks evolve in Pakistan.
