Agha Steel Industries Limited has announced its financial results for the year ended June 30, 2026, reporting a reduction in its annual loss compared with the previous year. The company’s financial statements also show improvements in several areas of its financial position and cash flows.
According to the company’s financial results, loss after taxation stood at Rs4.741 billion for FY2026, compared with a loss of approximately Rs7.211 billion in FY2025. The loss per share also improved, moving from Rs11.92 to Rs7.62 during the year.
The company’s total comprehensive loss narrowed to approximately Rs3.541 billion, compared with Rs7.211 billion in the preceding year. This improvement included other comprehensive income arising from the revaluation of fixed assets, partly offset by deferred tax.
Equity Position Shows Changes
Agha Steel’s total shareholders’ equity stood at approximately Rs18.55 billion as of June 30, 2026, compared with Rs20.93 billion a year earlier. The company reported share capital of approximately Rs7.214 billion, while its accumulated loss increased to around Rs7.329 billion.
The financial statements also show a significant increase in the surplus on revaluation of fixed assets, which reached approximately Rs16.538 billion, compared with Rs15.981 billion in FY2025.
Cash Position Improves
Cash-flow figures provide another notable development. Cash and cash equivalents increased from Rs48.462 million at the beginning of the year to Rs195.783 million at June 30, 2026. The company generated approximately Rs139.325 million in net cash from operations, while investing activities used Rs69.508 million. Financing activities generated Rs77.504 million.
The balance sheet showed total assets of approximately Rs53.768 billion at the end of FY2026, compared with Rs55.708 billion in the previous year. Total liabilities and equity matched the same amount, reflecting the reported balance-sheet position.
No Dividend or Bonus Shares Recommended
The company’s board has recommended no cash dividend, bonus shares or right shares for the year. The announcement also states that no other entitlement or corporate action and no other price-sensitive information was recommended in connection with the results.
Annual General Meeting Scheduled
Agha Steel Industries has scheduled its Annual General Meeting for Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. The meeting will be held at Plot No. NWIZ/1/P-133, SP-6, D-2, Port Qasim, Karachi, with participation also available through video-conferencing facilities.
The company said its share transfer books will remain closed from October 21 to October 28, 2026, both days inclusive. The annual report is to be transmitted through PUCARS at least 21 days before the AGM and will also be made available on the company’s website.
Overall, the FY2026 financial statements show that Agha Steel Industries remained loss-making, but its post-tax loss narrowed substantially from the previous year, while its year-end cash balance also improved.
