Karachi: AGP Limited has announced that its Board of Directors has approved an agreement to undertake the commercialization, marketing, and promotion of the pharmaceutical product Xanax in Pakistan. The decision was made during the board meeting held on April 29, 2026, with the company formally notifying the Pakistan Stock Exchange through a material information disclosure.
According to the company, AGP will enter into an arrangement with one of its associated companies under which it will provide contract marketing services for Xanax. The agreement grants AGP the marketing rights for the product in Pakistan, reinforcing the company’s strategy to expand its pharmaceutical portfolio and strengthen its presence in the country’s healthcare market.
The company stated that the necessary agreements between the parties are currently being finalized. Subject to the completion of all required formalities, Xanax is expected to be launched in the Pakistani market during May 2026.
This development represents another step in AGP’s efforts to broaden its range of marketed pharmaceutical products and capitalize on opportunities in Pakistan’s growing healthcare sector. By adding a globally recognized medicine to its portfolio, AGP aims to enhance its market position while expanding access to quality pharmaceutical products for healthcare providers and patients.
