KARACHI: First Tri-Star Modaraba (FSTM) reported a significant improvement in its financial performance for the quarter ended March 31, 2026, driven by stronger operating income and higher investment returns.
According to the company’s latest financial results, First Tri-Star Modaraba posted a net profit after tax of Rs3.33 million for the third quarter of FY2026, compared to Rs1.56 million in the corresponding period last year, reflecting an increase of more than 113%. Earnings per certificate (EPS) also improved to Rs0.16, up from Rs0.07 in the same quarter of FY2025.
For the nine months ended March 31, 2026, the Modaraba earned a net profit of Rs12.77 million, more than doubling from Rs6.21 million recorded during the same period a year earlier. Nine-month EPS increased to Rs0.60 from Rs0.29.
The improved performance was supported by a notable rise in operating profit and higher other income during the reporting period. Profit before levy and taxation climbed to Rs18.58 million for the nine-month period, compared with Rs6.41 million in the corresponding period of the previous year.
The Board of Directors, in its meeting held on April 30, 2026, did not recommend any cash dividend, bonus certificates, or rights entitlement for certificate holders for the quarter under review.
On the financial position side, the Modaraba’s cash and bank balances increased substantially to Rs21.77 million as of March 31, 2026, from Rs2.99 million at the end of June 2025, strengthening its liquidity position. Total certificate holders’ equity also rose to Rs366.15 million, compared with Rs353.38 million at the close of the previous financial year.
The latest results indicate continued operational improvement for First Tri-Star Modaraba as it delivered stronger earnings and reinforced its balance sheet during the first nine months of FY2026.
