Karachi, July 22, 2026: International Packaging Films Limited (IPAK) has announced a major investment aimed at strengthening its position in the packaging industry. The company’s wholly owned subsidiary, Global Packaging Films (Private) Limited (GPAK), has approved the acquisition of a state-of-the-art metallizer with an estimated project cost of PKR 1.4 billion.

The company disclosed the development in a material information notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) in accordance with the Securities Act, 2015, and PSX regulations.

According to the announcement, the investment aligns with the Group’s long-term strategy of increasing the share of value-added products within its packaging films portfolio. The new metallizer is expected to significantly enhance GPAK’s metallizing capabilities, enabling the company to produce a greater volume of high-quality metallized packaging films.

The project is also expected to improve operational efficiency while supporting the growing demand for specialized packaging films in both domestic and international markets. By expanding its production capacity, GPAK aims to strengthen its competitive position and cater to the increasing requirements of customers seeking advanced packaging solutions.

International Packaging Films stated that it will continue to keep the Pakistan Stock Exchange informed of any further material developments related to the project as implementation progresses.

The investment reflects the company’s continued focus on modernization, capacity expansion, and value addition, reinforcing its commitment to long-term growth and enhancing its presence in Pakistan’s packaging industry as well as export markets.
