Jubilee Spinning & Weaving Mills Posts Rs43.3 Million Profit in FY2026
Jubilee Spinning & Weaving Mills Limited has reported a profit after taxation of Rs43.34 million for the financial year ended June 30, 2026, according to the company’s annual financial statements. The result represents a decline from the Rs137.62 million profit recorded in the previous financial year.
The company’s revenue stood at Rs11.63 million during FY2026, compared with Rs12.75 million in FY2025. Despite the lower revenue, gross profit remained relatively close to the previous year at Rs5.20 million, compared with Rs5.36 million a year earlier.
Profit Before Tax Falls Sharply
Jubilee Spinning & Weaving Mills recorded profit before tax of Rs58.62 million in FY2026, down significantly from Rs139.99 million in FY2025. The company also reported taxation of Rs15.28 million during the year, whereas no taxation expense was reported in the previous year’s statement. As a result, profit after tax fell to Rs43.34 million.
Earnings per share also declined to Rs1.33, compared with Rs4.24 per share in FY2025.
Other Income Remains a Major Contributor
The financial statements show that the company generated Rs130.70 million in other income during FY2026, compared with Rs205.73 million in the previous year. This included significant rental income, while the company also recorded a fair-value gain on investment property.
The balance sheet indicates that investment property stood at approximately Rs1.04 billion at June 30, 2026, compared with around Rs992 million a year earlier. Total assets increased to Rs1.397 billion from Rs1.345 billion.
Equity Position Strengthens
Despite the decline in annual profit, shareholders’ equity increased to approximately Rs1.208 billion at the end of FY2026 from Rs1.157 billion in FY2025. The increase was reflected in accumulated unappropriated profits as well as changes in reserves and the fair-value reserve.
The company’s paid-up share capital remained unchanged at approximately Rs324.91 million.
Cash Flow Picture
Jubilee Spinning & Weaving Mills reported net cash used in operating activities of Rs78.57 million during FY2026, compared with Rs81.80 million used in the previous year. Meanwhile, investing activities generated Rs82.45 million in net cash during the year.
Cash and cash equivalents increased to approximately Rs8.01 million at June 30, 2026, from Rs4.12 million a year earlier.
