KARACHI: Millat Tractors Limited (MTL), Pakistan’s leading agricultural machinery manufacturer, reported a strong financial performance for the nine months ended March 31, 2026, posting a healthy increase in profitability driven by higher sales and improved operating performance.
According to the company’s unconsolidated financial results, net sales increased to Rs45.57 billion, compared to Rs39.99 billion in the corresponding period last year, reflecting solid demand for tractors and related products. Gross profit also climbed to Rs15.76 billion, up from Rs10.84 billion a year earlier.
Millat Tractors reported a profit after tax of Rs6.04 billion for the nine-month period, representing an increase of nearly 20% from Rs5.05 billion recorded during the same period of the previous year. Earnings per share (EPS) improved to Rs30.25, compared with Rs25.30 in the corresponding period last year.
The company’s operating profit surged to Rs12.21 billion, compared with Rs7.77 billion a year earlier, supported by stronger revenues despite higher distribution, administrative, and operating expenses. Finance costs declined to Rs1.16 billion from Rs1.58 billion, providing additional support to the bottom line.
For the quarter ended March 31, 2026, Millat Tractors earned a net profit of Rs3.12 billion, more than doubling from Rs1.39 billion in the same quarter last year. Quarterly earnings per share rose to Rs15.62, compared with Rs6.96 previously, highlighting the company’s strong momentum during the period.
On the balance sheet, total assets increased to approximately Rs33.55 billion as of March 31, 2026, compared with Rs32.99 billion at the end of June 2025. Shareholders’ equity stood at Rs7.07 billion, while cash and bank balances improved to Rs1.83 billion, reflecting a healthy liquidity position.
The strong financial performance underscores Millat Tractors’ resilience amid evolving market conditions and reflects sustained demand in Pakistan’s agricultural sector. With improved profitability, higher earnings per share, and a solid balance sheet, the company remains well-positioned to capitalize on future growth opportunities.
