KARACHI: Karam Ceramics Limited has announced its financial results for the nine months and third quarter ended March 31, 2026, reporting a reduction in losses as the company continued to navigate a difficult business environment marked by high inflation, elevated energy costs, and subdued construction activity. The Board of Directors also declared that no cash dividend, bonus shares, or right shares would be issued for the period.
According to the company’s financial statements, net sales for the nine-month period increased to Rs500.34 million, compared with Rs496.96 million in the corresponding period last year. The quarterly loss also narrowed to Rs27.90 million, compared with Rs217.51 million in the same quarter last year.
In its directors’ report, the company stated that the operating environment remained challenging due to persistent inflation, high fuel and electricity prices, and weaker demand from the construction sector. However, management emphasized that operational efficiencies, cost controls, and prudent resource management helped improve financial performance during the period.
The company also highlighted its focus on improving production efficiency, maintaining product quality, and enhancing customer satisfaction while continuing efforts to strengthen its long-term financial position. Management expressed confidence that ongoing restructuring initiatives and expected improvements in economic conditions could support future growth.
Karam Ceramics’ balance sheet showed total assets of approximately Rs1.50 billion as of March 31, 2026, while shareholders’ equity stood at around Rs860.96 million, reflecting the impact of accumulated losses despite operational progress.
