Karachi, September 3, 2026: Macpac Films Limited has reported improved financial performance for the year ended June 30, 2026, while also announcing a change in its Board of Directors.

According to the company’s filing with the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the Board of Directors met on September 1, 2026, and approved the company’s annual financial results. The company did not recommend any cash dividend, bonus shares, right shares or other corporate action for the year.

Profit rises 53% during FY2026

Macpac Films recorded revenue of Rs6.73 billion during FY2026, compared with Rs5.99 billion in the previous year. Gross profit increased to Rs947.0 million, up from Rs682.3 million in FY2025.

The company’s operating profit also improved significantly, reaching Rs241.6 million, compared with Rs137.8 million a year earlier.

Profit before taxation increased to Rs195.5 million, compared with Rs66.8 million in FY2025. After taxation, the company posted a profit of Rs130.7 million, compared with Rs85.3 million in the previous year. Earnings per share consequently rose to Rs2.20 from Rs1.44.

The company’s total comprehensive income stood at Rs119.7 million, compared with Rs81.8 million in FY2025.

Stronger operating cash generation

Macpac Films also reported an improvement in cash generation from operations. Net cash generated from operating activities stood at Rs271.2 million, compared with a net operating cash outflow of Rs15.7 million in the previous year.

At the end of FY2026, cash and cash equivalents increased to Rs189.1 million, compared with Rs65.1 million at June 30, 2025. The company reported a net increase of Rs124.0 million in cash and cash equivalents during the year.

Semeen Akhter joins Board

Alongside its financial results, Macpac Films announced a change in its Board. Fahad Munshi resigned from the Board with immediate effect, citing professional commitments.

To fill the resulting casual vacancy, the Board appointed Semeen Akhter for the remainder of the existing term. The company described Akhter as a global business and technology leader with more than 25 years of experience across energy, infrastructure, FMCG and industrial sectors.

She has spent more than 22 years in global technology and business leadership roles across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America, with expertise spanning Digital Twins, Industrial IoT, Artificial Intelligence and digital transformation.

The company said it is currently completing the required legal and regulatory formalities related to the appointment.

Annual General Meeting scheduled

Macpac Films has scheduled its Annual General Meeting for October 27, 2026, at 10:30 AM in Karachi. The company’s share transfer books will remain closed from October 20 to October 27, 2026, both days inclusive.

Overall, FY2026 marked a notable improvement in Macpac Films’ profitability and operating cash generation, with higher revenue, stronger operating profit and a substantial increase in earnings per share. At the same time, the appointment of an experienced technology and business leader adds a new dimension to the company’s Board as it moves into the next financial year.
