Pakistan State Oil Company Limited (PSO) has announced its financial results for the year ended June 30, 2026, along with a final cash dividend of Rs10 per share, equivalent to 100%, following a meeting of its Board of Management held on September 25, 2026.

According to the company’s unconsolidated financial statements, PSO recorded net sales of approximately Rs3.06 trillion during FY2026, compared with Rs3.149 trillion in the previous year. Gross profit stood at around Rs99.94 billion, slightly higher than Rs96.71 billion recorded in FY2025.

The company reported profit after tax of approximately Rs16.09 billion on an unconsolidated basis, compared with Rs20.91 billion in FY2025. Earnings per share declined to Rs32.19, from Rs44.54 a year earlier.

Consolidated Profit Shows Significant Increase

On a consolidated basis, PSO reported net sales of approximately Rs3.212 trillion, compared with Rs3.319 trillion in FY2025. Despite lower sales, consolidated gross profit increased substantially to about Rs133.25 billion, compared with Rs97.15 billion in the previous year.

Consolidated profit for the year reached approximately Rs31.58 billion, compared with Rs14.24 billion in FY2025. Of this amount, around Rs25.49 billion was attributable to owners of the holding company, while approximately Rs6.09 billion was attributable to non-controlling interests. Consolidated earnings per share increased to Rs54.29, compared with Rs35.03 in FY2025.

Cash Flow Remains an Important Area

PSO’s consolidated cash-flow statement showed net cash used in operating activities of approximately Rs61.59 billion during FY2026, compared with net cash generated from operating activities of Rs152.90 billion in FY2025. The company also reported net cash used in investing activities of around Rs10.45 billion.

Financing activities resulted in a net cash outflow of approximately Rs15.84 billion. Overall, consolidated cash and cash equivalents declined by about Rs87.88 billion during the year, ending at approximately Rs19.03 billion.

Dividend and AGM Details

PSO’s Board recommended a final cash dividend of Rs10 per share for FY2026. Shareholders whose names appear in the company’s Register of Members as of October 20, 2026 will be entitled to the recommended dividend.

The company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) is scheduled for October 28, 2026 at 11:00 am in Karachi. The share transfer books will remain closed from October 21 through October 28, 2026, inclusive.

Overall, PSO’s FY2026 results present a mixed picture at the standalone level, while the consolidated results show a substantial increase in annual profit and earnings per share. The company’s financial statements also highlight significant movements in operating cash flows and working-capital-related balances during the year.
