Sapphire Textile Mills Limited has reported a significant improvement in its standalone profitability for the financial year ended June 30, 2026, while also announcing a cash dividend of Rs10 per share. The company disclosed its annual financial results in a notice dated September 24, 2026.

Standalone profit rises sharply

According to the standalone financial statements, Sapphire Textile Mills recorded net turnover of Rs81.18 billion during FY2026, compared with Rs93.26 billion in the previous year. Despite the lower turnover, the company’s profit for the year increased to Rs6.82 billion, from Rs3.95 billion in FY2025.

The company’s earnings per share (EPS) also improved substantially, rising to Rs314.46 from Rs182.16 a year earlier.

The financial results indicate that improved profitability was supported by operating performance and other income, although finance costs and taxation continued to represent significant expenses.

Consolidated performance remains resilient

At the group level, Sapphire Textile Mills reported consolidated revenue of Rs146.32 billion, compared with Rs152.50 billion in FY2025. Consolidated profit for the year stood at Rs13.32 billion, slightly above the Rs13.14 billion recorded in the previous year.

The consolidated EPS was reported at Rs425.95, compared with Rs435.37 in the preceding financial year. The consolidated results include the performance attributable to both equity holders of the holding company and non-controlling interests.

Cash dividend announced

Alongside the financial results, the company announced a final cash dividend of Rs10 per share, representing 100% for the year ended June 30, 2026. This is in addition to an interim dividend of Rs10 per share, also equivalent to 100%.

The company also stated that its Annual General Meeting is scheduled for October 28, 2026, while the share transfer books will remain closed from October 20 to October 28, 2026, both days inclusive.

Cash flow and financial position

Sapphire Textile Mills generated Rs15.38 billion in cash from operating activities on a standalone basis during FY2026. The company also reported cash and cash equivalents of approximately Rs1.68 billion at the end of the financial year.

On a consolidated basis, cash generated from operating activities was approximately Rs24.82 billion, compared with Rs13.65 billion in FY2025. The consolidated cash flow statement also showed significant investment and financing activities during the year.

Outlook

The FY2026 results present a mixed picture across different measures. While turnover declined at both standalone and consolidated levels, standalone profitability recorded a notable increase and consolidated profit remained broadly stable. The declared final dividend also provides shareholders with a direct distribution from the company’s annual results.

Sapphire Textile Mills said its Annual Report will be transmitted through PUCARS at least 21 days before the Annual General Meeting, in line with the schedule outlined in its results announcement.
