Trust Securities & Brokerage Discloses Plans to Enter Virtual Asset Services
KARACHI — September 25, 2026: Trust Securities & Brokerage Limited (TSBL) has announced its intention to explore opportunities in Pakistan’s emerging virtual asset sector, subject to obtaining the required regulatory approvals and licenses.
In a material information notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company said its Board of Directors had approved the intention to apply to the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (PVARA) for the requisite licenses to undertake three categories of Virtual Asset Services.
The proposed services include:
- Custody Services
- Exchange Services
- Virtual Asset Transfer and Settlement Services
According to the notice, the proposed applications are being pursued under the regulatory framework established through the Virtual Assets Act, 2026, which provides for the licensing, regulation and supervision of Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) in Pakistan.
The company said the initiative is intended to allow Trust Securities to explore opportunities in the developing virtual asset ecosystem while operating within the applicable legal and regulatory framework.
However, Trust Securities clarified that it has not commenced any regulated Virtual Asset Services. The company stated that it will not undertake such activities unless and until the required approvals and licenses have been obtained from PVARA and other relevant regulatory authorities.
The matter is also expected to be presented at the company’s upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM), where any necessary amendments to the company’s memorandum and articles of association may be considered.
Trust Securities further stated that updates regarding the status of its applications and any material developments will be communicated to the Pakistan Stock Exchange in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
The disclosure indicates that the brokerage is positioning itself to explore a regulated role in Pakistan’s developing virtual asset market, while emphasizing that any future operations will remain subject to licensing and regulatory approval.
