KARACHI: Trust Securities & Brokerage Limited (TSBL) has announced a profit after tax of Rs34.24 million for the nine months ended March 31, 2026, marking a significant improvement from the Rs11.67 million earned during the corresponding period last year. Earnings per share (EPS) also increased to Rs0.11, compared with Rs0.39 in the same period of 2025 following the company’s right issue and increased share capital.

According to the financial results approved by the company’s Board of Directors on April 28, 2026, TSBL reported operating revenue of Rs322.56 million, up nearly 70% from Rs190.16 million recorded in the corresponding period last year. However, the company also incurred losses on the sale and remeasurement of short-term investments, reflecting the impact of market volatility on its investment portfolio.

Despite higher operating and administrative expenses, as well as finance costs, the company benefited from other income of Rs74.94 million, which helped lift profit before tax to Rs32.90 million. Following a tax credit of approximately Rs1.34 million, net profit reached Rs34.24 million.

During the third quarter alone, TSBL posted a net loss of Rs35.08 million, compared with a profit of Rs2.77 million in the same quarter of the previous year. The quarterly performance was affected by investment-related losses and higher operating expenses.

The company’s financial position strengthened considerably during the reporting period. Total assets increased to Rs1.30 billion as of March 31, 2026, from Rs883.62 million at the end of June 2025. Shareholders’ equity also rose sharply to Rs866.58 million, supported by the successful right share subscription and accumulated profits. Cash and bank balances climbed to Rs318.71 million, highlighting improved liquidity.

The Board of Directors did not recommend any cash dividend, bonus shares, or right shares for the period. The company stated that the complete third-quarter report will be circulated separately through the Pakistan Unified Corporate Action Reporting System (PUCARS) within the prescribed timeframe.
