Trust Securities and Brokerage Limited (TSBL) has reported a significant improvement in its financial performance for the year ended June 30, 2026, with profit after tax rising to Rs137.2 million, compared with Rs19.2 million in the previous year.

According to the financial statements, operating revenue increased to Rs420.5 million in FY2026 from Rs251.1 million in FY2025. The company also recorded a gain of Rs34.1 million on the sale of short-term investments, while other income stood at Rs130.8 million.

As a result, profit before tax reached Rs170.2 million, compared with Rs24.8 million a year earlier. After accounting for income tax of Rs33.0 million, profit after tax climbed to Rs137.2 million. Earnings per share also improved to Rs0.23 from Rs0.04 in FY2025.

Balance Sheet Expands

The company’s financial position also strengthened during the year. Total assets increased to approximately Rs1.60 billion as of June 30, 2026, compared with Rs883.6 million at the end of FY2025.

Current assets stood at about Rs1.51 billion, including trade debts of Rs360.8 million, receivables against margin finance of Rs443.0 million and advances, deposits and other receivables of approximately Rs611.0 million. Cash and bank balances increased to Rs72.9 million, compared with Rs7.9 million a year earlier.

Shareholders’ equity rose to Rs962.2 million, compared with Rs382.3 million in FY2025. The increase included issued, subscribed and paid-up capital of Rs750 million and accumulated profit of Rs212.2 million.

Cash Flow and Capital Position

The cash flow statement shows that TSBL generated Rs71.5 million in net cash from investing activities during FY2026. Financing activities generated net cash of approximately Rs377.5 million, largely reflecting proceeds from the issuance of right shares, net of issuance costs.

The company’s cash and cash equivalents increased from Rs7.9 million at the beginning of the year to Rs72.9 million at June 30, 2026, resulting in a net increase of approximately Rs65.1 million during the year.

AGM Scheduled for October 26

Alongside the annual financial results, the company announced that its Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on October 26, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. at its registered office in Karachi.

The register of members and share transfer books will remain closed from October 20 to October 26, 2026, both days inclusive. The company has also stated that no cash dividend, bonus shares or right shares were recommended in connection with the results.

Overall, the FY2026 statements show a substantial year-on-year increase in profitability, revenue and shareholders’ equity, alongside a significant expansion in the company’s balance sheet.
