Bhanero Textile Mills Limited has reported a profit after tax of Rs64.50 million for the nine-month period ended March 31, 2026, reflecting a decline of nearly 26% compared to Rs87.22 million recorded in the corresponding period last year. The financial results were disclosed in the company’s condensed interim financial statements.
The textile manufacturer generated net sales of Rs24.85 billion during the nine months, slightly lower than Rs25.23 billion in the same period of the previous year. Gross profit remained largely stable at Rs2.04 billion, indicating that the company maintained its production margins despite a marginal decline in revenue.
However, profitability came under pressure due to higher finance costs and other operating expenses. Finance costs stood at Rs864.59 million, while administrative and distribution expenses also weighed on earnings, resulting in profit before levies and taxation of Rs389.91 million, compared with Rs404.23 million a year earlier. After accounting for levies, the company reported profit before taxation of Rs64.50 million.
For the third quarter alone, Bhanero Textile Mills earned Rs23.49 million, down from Rs33.95 million in the corresponding quarter of last year. Earnings per share (EPS) for the nine-month period declined to Rs21.21, compared with Rs28.68 in the same period of FY25.
On the balance sheet, total assets stood at Rs24.09 billion as of March 31, 2026, compared with Rs26.93 billion at the end of June 2025. The company’s unappropriated profit increased to Rs1.70 billion, strengthening shareholders’ equity, which reached Rs11.03 billion.
The company’s cash flow position improved significantly during the period. Net cash generated from operating activities rose to Rs5.26 billion, compared with Rs494.28 million in the same period last year, supported by favorable working capital movements. Cash and cash equivalents at the end of the period increased to Rs399.87 million, up from Rs333.91 million a year earlier.
Despite lower earnings, Bhanero Textile Mills maintained positive profitability and strengthened its operating cash generation, highlighting resilience amid a challenging operating environment for Pakistan’s textile sector.
