KARACHI: D.M. Corporation Limited, formerly known as D.M. Textile Mills Limited, has announced the incorporation of two wholly owned subsidiary companies as part of its strategic business expansion, according to a material information disclosure submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
The company stated that the move has been made in compliance with Section 96 of the Securities Act, 2015, and Clause 5.6.1(a) of the PSX Regulations. The newly incorporated subsidiaries are D.M. Group (Private) Limited and D.M. Ventures (Private) Limited, each established with distinct business objectives aimed at diversifying the group’s operations.
According to the disclosure, D.M. Group (Private) Limited will primarily focus on investing the company’s own capital in financial instruments, including shares, bonds, stocks, mutual fund units, and other securities and related investment products. The subsidiary is expected to strengthen the group’s presence in the investment and financial services sector while providing greater flexibility in capital allocation.
Meanwhile, D.M. Ventures (Private) Limited has been established to undertake a broad range of commercial activities. Its principal line of business includes providing legally permissible services, as well as engaging in the sale, purchase, import, and export of goods. The company will also operate as a general trader and supplier, allowing D.M. Corporation to expand beyond its traditional business activities.
The company has requested the Pakistan Stock Exchange to notify TRE Certificate Holders of the development. The disclosure was signed by the Company Secretary of D.M. Corporation Limited and reflects the management’s intention to diversify revenue streams through investment and commercial ventures.
The establishment of these subsidiaries marks a strategic milestone for D.M. Corporation as it seeks to broaden its business portfolio and explore new growth opportunities in investment management and trading activities, reinforcing its long-term expansion strategy.
