Punjab Oil Mills Limited (PSX: POML) has announced its financial results for the nine-month period ended March 31, 2026, reporting an improvement in overall profitability despite a softer performance during the third quarter. The company’s Board of Directors approved the unaudited financial statements in its meeting held on April 28, 2026, while announcing that no cash dividend, bonus shares, right shares, or any other corporate action would be distributed for the period.

During the first nine months of FY2026, Punjab Oil Mills recorded net sales of Rs. 7.12 billion, compared with Rs. 6.94 billion in the corresponding period last year. Gross profit increased to Rs. 705.4 million from Rs. 698.3 million, reflecting stable operational performance despite rising costs.

The company posted a net profit of Rs. 19.42 million, significantly higher than the Rs. 7.09 million earned in the same period of FY2025. As a result, earnings per share (EPS) improved to Rs. 2.50, compared with Rs. 0.91 a year earlier. The improvement was supported by stronger operating profitability and lower overall tax expense during the nine-month period.

However, the third quarter presented a more challenging picture. Quarterly net profit declined sharply to Rs. 3.92 million, compared with Rs. 51.22 million recorded in the same quarter last year. Quarterly EPS fell to Rs. 0.50 from Rs. 6.60, indicating pressure from higher finance costs, operating expenses, and taxation during the period.

On the financial position side, the company’s total assets increased to approximately Rs. 5.21 billion as of March 31, 2026, compared with Rs. 4.81 billion at the end of June 2025. Shareholders’ equity also strengthened to Rs. 2.60 billion, reflecting retained earnings and growth in reserves.

Punjab Oil Mills stated that the complete third-quarter report will be released separately through the Pakistan Unified Corporate Action Reporting System (PUCARS) and will also be made available on the company’s website. The Board did not recommend any dividend or other shareholder entitlement, signaling a continued focus on preserving financial flexibility while navigating a challenging operating environment.
