Imperial Limited has appointed M/s. Alam & Aulakh, Chartered Accountants, as its new statutory auditors following the resignation of its previous auditors, M/s. Rizwan & Company, Chartered Accountants.
According to a disclosure submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on August 12, 2026, Rizwan & Company resigned from the office of statutory auditors with effect from July 30, 2026, before completing their term.
The Board of Directors considered and accepted the resignation at its meeting held on August 12 and formally recorded the resulting casual vacancy. Following a recommendation from the Audit Committee, the Board appointed Alam & Aulakh, Chartered Accountants, to serve as statutory auditors for the remaining term, which will continue until the company’s next Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Imperial Limited said the appointment remains subject to compliance with the applicable provisions of the Companies Act, 2017, as well as other regulatory requirements. The newly appointed auditors have provided their written consent and confirmed that they meet the required eligibility and independence criteria under applicable laws and regulations.
The company disclosed the development to the PSX in accordance with Section 96 of the Securities Act, 2015 and Clause 5.6.1(a) of the PSX Regulations. The disclosure is intended to keep the market and investing public informed about the change in the company’s statutory audit arrangements.
The disclosure form on page two of the filing also confirms that the resignation of Rizwan & Company became effective on July 30, 2026, while Alam & Aulakh has been appointed for the remaining term until the next AGM.
