iTANZ Technologies Limited has reported a significant increase in revenue and profitability for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, supported by higher technology services revenue and contributions from its subsidiary. The company has also recommended an interim cash dividend of Rs. 0.75 per share for the quarter ended September 30, 2026.
According to the company’s financial results submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on October 22, 2026, consolidated revenue increased to approximately Rs. 667.47 million, compared with Rs. 89.73 million in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
Consolidated Profit Rises Sharply
The company’s consolidated financial performance showed substantial improvement during the quarter. Profit for the period reached Rs. 471.56 million, compared with Rs. 58.80 million in the same quarter last year.
Earnings per share (EPS) also increased to Rs. 3.13 from Rs. 0.50, reflecting the improvement in reported profitability. Consolidated gross profit rose to Rs. 580.57 million from Rs. 76.24 million, while operating profit increased to Rs. 524.76 million from Rs. 67.69 million.
These results highlight a stronger financial performance compared with the corresponding period of the previous year. However, the figures are unaudited interim results and should be considered alongside the company’s full financial disclosures.
Technology Services Support Revenue Growth
iTANZ Technologies has expanded its business focus beyond its former textile manufacturing and greige fabric operations to include information technology consultancy and IT-enabled services.
Its subsidiary, iTANZ Infinity Pty Ltd, based in Australia, provides services including software development, system integration, cloud-based solutions, digital transformation, artificial intelligence-enabled solutions, business process automation and data analytics.
The company’s financial statements reflect the growing importance of technology-related operations. Consolidated revenue for the latest quarter was reported entirely under export sales, according to the revenue breakdown in the financial statements.
The expansion of technology services provides important context for understanding the company’s latest results, although sustained growth will depend on future business performance and the company’s ability to manage operating costs and cash requirements.
Parent Company’s Standalone Results Also Improve
On a standalone, unconsolidated basis, iTANZ Technologies reported revenue of Rs. 382.35 million for the quarter, compared with Rs. 89.73 million a year earlier.
Profit after income taxes increased to Rs. 323.43 million from Rs. 58.80 million, while standalone earnings per share reached Rs. 2.73, compared with Rs. 0.50 in the corresponding quarter.
The standalone results also included a share of profit from the subsidiary amounting to Rs. 104.93 million. At the same time, the company recorded a finance cost of approximately Rs. 61.62 million relating to the unwinding of the discount on long-term payables. These items are important when assessing the quality and sustainability of reported earnings.
Interim Dividend Announced for Shareholders
The Board of Directors has recommended an interim cash dividend of Rs. 0.75 per share, equivalent to 7.5% of the Rs. 10 face value of each ordinary share.
The company has announced the following important dates for shareholders:
- Book closure: November 6 to November 10, 2026, inclusive.
- Eligibility date: Shareholders must appear in the register of members at the close of business on November 5, 2026.
- Sponsor dividend waiver: The company’s sponsors and their associates, holding 60.89% of the issued share capital, have voluntarily waived their entitlement to the dividend, amounting to approximately Rs. 54.16 million.
The company has also issued 10% bonus shares during the reporting period, increasing its issued ordinary shares from 107.82 million to 118.60 million.
Cash Flow and Financial Position
Despite reporting strong consolidated earnings, the company’s cash position remains an important factor to monitor. Consolidated net cash generated from operating activities stood at Rs. 676.36 million during the quarter. However, investing activities used approximately Rs. 458.63 million, primarily reflecting capitalised development expenditure by the subsidiary.
Financing activities also resulted in a net cash outflow of approximately Rs. 241.15 million. Consequently, consolidated cash and bank balances declined to around Rs. 1.14 million at September 30, 2026, from Rs. 26.95 million at June 30, 2026.
This contrast between higher profits and lower closing cash balances highlights the importance of monitoring working capital, development spending and liquidity as the business expands.
Outlook
iTANZ Technologies’ first-quarter results demonstrate a substantial improvement in revenue, operating profit and earnings compared with the same period last year. The company’s technology-focused business activities and subsidiary operations are central to understanding its changing financial profile.
The interim dividend recommendation also represents a distribution proposal for eligible shareholders, while the voluntary waiver by sponsors reduces the company’s dividend payment obligations.
Investors will likely focus on whether the company can maintain its revenue growth, convert reported earnings into sustainable cash flows and manage the financial demands associated with its technology operations.
Overall, iTANZ Technologies has started FY2027 with significantly stronger reported profitability. Its future performance will depend on sustaining business growth, maintaining liquidity and delivering consistent financial results in the coming quarters.
