KARACHI: Jahangir Siddiqui & Co. Ltd. (JSCL) has informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) that a key legal dispute involving the company has concluded in its favor after the appellate court dismissed a civil appeal filed by TRG Pakistan Limited.

In a notification dated July 3, 2026, the company said the XIIth Additional District Judge/Model Civil Appellate Court, Karachi South, through its judgment dated July 1, 2026, dismissed Civil Appeal No. 376/2025 filed by TRG Pakistan Limited. The appeal had challenged an earlier order issued by the Honorable Senior Civil Judge, Karachi (South), in Civil Suit No. 1696/2025 (Old H.C. Suit No. 1589 of 2022).

According to JSCL, the appellate court upheld the order passed on December 2, 2025, which had rejected the plaint under Order VII Rule 11 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908. The original lawsuit, titled TRG Pakistan Limited & Others vs. Jahangir Siddiqui & Co. Ltd. & Others, had been the subject of earlier disclosures made by the company in December 2025.

The company stated that the latest judicial decision reinforces its long-standing position that the allegations raised against Jahangir Siddiqui & Co. and the other respondents were baseless, frivolous, and mala fide in nature, lacking any legal merit. JSCL further emphasized that no adverse findings or directions have been issued against the company, its subsidiaries, or any of its officers during the proceedings.

JSCL said the disclosure has been made to ensure transparency and keep investors informed of material developments affecting the company. The announcement was signed by Waleed Bhatti, Company Secretary, on behalf of Jahangir Siddiqui & Co. Ltd.
