Murree Brewery Company Limited has reported improved financial performance for the year ended June 30, 2026, with annual profit after tax rising to approximately Rs. 3.79 billion, compared with Rs. 3.26 billion in the previous year.
According to the company’s financial statements, revenue from contracts with customers increased to Rs. 31.995 billion during FY2026 from Rs. 28.563 billion in FY2025. Gross profit also improved, reaching Rs. 8.043 billion, compared with Rs. 7.380 billion a year earlier.
Profit and earnings improve
Murree Brewery’s operating profit increased to Rs. 5.193 billion in FY2026 from Rs. 4.547 billion in FY2025. Profit before income tax and final taxes stood at Rs. 5.979 billion, compared with Rs. 5.440 billion in the previous year.
After accounting for taxes, the company posted a profit for the year of Rs. 3.790 billion, up from Rs. 3.262 billion in FY2025. Earnings per share also increased from Rs. 117.92 to Rs. 137.02.
Final dividend takes total FY2026 payout to Rs. 41.50 per share
The company’s Board of Directors has recommended a final cash dividend of Rs. 14.50 per share, equivalent to 145%, for the year ended June 30, 2026.
This is in addition to interim dividends of Rs. 27 per share, taking the company’s total cash dividend for FY2026 to Rs. 41.50 per share. The company has not announced any bonus or right shares.
AGM scheduled for October 23
Murree Brewery has scheduled its Annual General Meeting for October 23, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at 3-National Park Road, Rawalpindi.
The entitlement for the final dividend will apply to shareholders whose names appear in the company’s register on October 15, 2026. The share transfer books will remain closed from October 16 to October 23, 2026, both days inclusive.
Stronger equity position
The balance sheet also showed growth in shareholders’ equity. Total equity increased to approximately Rs. 20.77 billion at June 30, 2026, compared with Rs. 17.24 billion a year earlier. Total assets rose to approximately Rs. 26.28 billion from Rs. 23.30 billion.
The company’s cash-flow statement, meanwhile, showed net cash generated from operating activities of approximately Rs. 1.19 billion during FY2026, compared with Rs. 4.51 billion in FY2025. Cash and cash equivalents stood at approximately Rs. 4.15 billion at the end of the year.
Overall, Murree Brewery entered FY2027 after reporting higher revenue, operating profit, net profit and earnings per share, while maintaining a substantial dividend distribution to shareholders. The company said its annual report would be transmitted through PUCARS at least 21 days before the AGM, with the financial statements also available on its website.
