National Foods Limited (PSX: NATF) has announced an interim cash dividend of Rs. 4.00 per share (80%) for the quarter ended March 31, 2026, reflecting the company’s continued strong financial performance and commitment to rewarding shareholders. The latest payout is in addition to interim dividends of Rs. 21.00 per share (420%) already distributed during the financial year, bringing the total interim dividend to Rs. 25.00 per share. The company has not announced any bonus or right shares.
The Board of Directors approved the financial results at its meeting held on April 28, 2026, and also announced that the share transfer books will remain closed from May 12 to May 14, 2026 for the purpose of determining shareholders eligible for the latest dividend payment.
National Foods reported an impressive financial performance during the first nine months of FY2026. On a consolidated basis, the company posted a profit attributable to shareholders of Rs. 25.33 billion, a substantial increase from Rs. 2.92 billion recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year. Total comprehensive income attributable to shareholders also surged to Rs. 24.53 billion, highlighting robust earnings growth during the period. Earnings per share (EPS) climbed to Rs. 108.66, compared with Rs. 12.52 a year earlier.
The remarkable increase in profitability was supported by strong operating performance as well as gains from discontinued operations, which significantly boosted the company’s overall earnings during the reporting period. The company’s financial position also strengthened, with total equity attributable to shareholders increasing to Rs. 31.75 billion by March 31, 2026.
On an unconsolidated basis, National Foods also delivered solid results. Profit for the nine-month period reached Rs. 5.20 billion, up from Rs. 2.85 billion in the same period last year, while earnings per share improved to Rs. 22.30 from Rs. 12.24, reflecting healthy growth in the parent company’s standalone operations.
The latest results underscore National Foods’ strong operational momentum and healthy financial position. The sizeable dividend distribution, coupled with significant earnings growth, reinforces investor confidence and demonstrates the company’s ability to generate sustainable value for shareholders despite a challenging business environment.
