Trust Securities & Brokerage Considers Launch of SPACs to Explore New Investment Opportunities

Karachi, September 25, 2026: Trust Securities & Brokerage Limited (TSBL) has announced that it is considering an initiative to establish a series of Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs), subject to obtaining the required regulatory approvals, permissions and shareholder consents.

According to material information submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the proposed initiative is aimed at enabling TSBL to participate in opportunities related to the formation, structuring, public offering and listing of SPACs in accordance with Pakistan’s applicable regulatory framework.

The company said the matter has been placed before its Board of Directors for consideration. Following the Board’s advice, TSBL has been directed to proceed with the necessary steps and seek further approvals, including shareholder approval and regulatory clearances, where required under applicable laws and regulations.

The proposed SPAC initiative remains at a preliminary stage. TSBL clarified that, as of the date of the announcement, no definitive transaction, offering, acquisition or merger has been concluded or approved.

The company added that further details concerning the potential SPACs—including their structure, number, timing, size and other terms—will be disclosed to the market in accordance with applicable laws and regulations once the relevant approvals and decisions have been obtained.

TSBL also stated that it will make further disclosures to the Pakistan Stock Exchange regarding any material developments concerning the proposed initiative.

The announcement was signed by Syed Masood Ahmad, Company Secretary, and addressed to the General Manager of the Pakistan Stock Exchange. A copy was also provided to the relevant regulatory department of the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).
