LSE Financial Services Limited (PSX: LSEFSL) reported a significant downturn in its financial performance for the nine months ended March 31, 2026, posting a net loss after tax of Rs. 47.51 million, compared with a net profit of Rs. 9.49 million recorded during the corresponding period last year. The company also announced a key leadership change with the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer.

The company’s revenue for the nine-month period stood at Rs. 21.70 million, slightly lower than Rs. 23.40 million in the same period of the previous year. Meanwhile, other income declined sharply to Rs. 4.80 million from Rs. 13.16 million, reducing an important source of earnings.

Administrative and general expenses surged to Rs. 67.19 million, more than double the Rs. 28.90 million reported a year earlier. As a result, the company recorded an operating loss of Rs. 40.69 million, compared with an operating profit of Rs. 7.66 million in the same period last year. Finance costs also increased substantially, further impacting profitability.

After accounting for taxation and levy, loss per share (LPS) came in at Rs. 1.76, compared with earnings per share (EPS) of Rs. 0.35 in the corresponding period of FY25.

On the balance sheet, total assets declined to Rs. 314.39 million as of March 31, 2026, from Rs. 489.18 million at the end of June 2025. Shareholders’ equity also dropped significantly to Rs. 238.60 million, reflecting the impact of the reported loss and adjustments arising from the company’s merger scheme.

The Board of Directors did not recommend any cash dividend, bonus shares, right shares, or any other corporate action for the period. However, it approved the appointment of Mr. Aftab Ahmad Ch. as the Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately, following the resignation of Ms. Aasiya Riaz from the position.

Despite the challenging financial results, the management will likely focus on improving operational efficiency and strengthening the company’s financial position under its new leadership as it navigates the remainder of the fiscal year.
